Email AddressesAll NetIDs have an associated email address of 'NetID@tamu.edu'. The @tamu.edu address is not an actual email box. It is a forwarding address, which can be set up to deliver to a mailbox that the user chooses. The @tamu.edu addresses are listed in the online directory (students can place a hold on their entry). The directory also includes email addresses for departments, organizations and services.
Getting StartedThe directory can be accessed by:
- Going directly to the Directory Search page
- Using the Directory Search channel at Howdy.tamu.edu
- Going to the main Texas A&M website and selecting "People" or "Depts" for Search options
Learn MoreThe Edit Directory application at Gateway.tamu.edu allows for updating email forwarding options, directory display name and web page address. Read more about how to update basic directory information.
Additional email information can be found by reading about the Differences Between tamu and neo Addresses.
Also, students can choose to keep their email address and other information private. See FERPA Policy - Official Notice to Students.
