Self-Service Password Reset

Self-Service Password Reset allows you to reset your NetID password on your own, if you forget it. Simply provide an email address or mobile phone number in advance. Then, if you forget your password, a temporary, one-time-use password is sent to you to log in and reset your password. If this feature is not set up in advance, you must contact Help Desk Central to reset a forgotten password.

Getting Started

To set up Self-Service Password Reset, go to gateway.tamu.edu and click the Password Settings tab. Log in with your NetID and password, and then provide your contact information in the appropriate fields.

If you forget your password and need to reset it, go to gateway.tamu.edu and click the Forgot your Password? link below the log in button. Then, click Self-Service Password Reset.
