Campus Data Centers

Texas A&M Division of Information Technology operates data centers at the main campus and west campus. They are managed by the Operations Center, which provides facilities management, 24/7 monitoring, installation services and disaster recovery planning.

Each center has redundant power and cooling capacity, multi-factor access security controls and automated monitoring for all data center support systems. The annual downtime normally ranges between four and six hours per year with zero to three service interruptions annually. Texas A&M Division of IT upgraded the cooling system for the main campus data center. The new system has higher capacity than the older system and is fully redundant with chilled water and refrigerant cooling lines.

Server virtualization services that provide infrastructure to host servers and services in a virtual server environment are available at the data centers.

  • Texas A&M Exchange Email

The data centers provide hosting for Texas A&M University Central Texas and the Dwight Look College of Engineering Cloud. The data centers also serve as off-site recovery locations for Texas A&M’s Galveston and Qatar campuses.
