Texas A&M uses SMTP-AUTH to securely relay email. The SMTP Relay machines process email that passes into or out of the Texas A&M network. This service requests your NetID and password from your email client to authenticate mail traffic and provides virus scanning and spam filtering.
Email clients need to be configured to work with SMTP-AUTH. Information on configuring popular email clients is available on the Setting up Mail Clients
page in the Knowledge Base.
