Business Relationship Management

The role of BRM is to provide the following services:

  • Meet routinely with each organizational unit (IT Organization/College/Division/Institution/Agency) and participate in information gathering/sharing activities.
  • Gain knowledge from partners on their needs, projects, and vision. Share the information within the Texas A&M IT organization and appropriate external communication channels.
  • Develop and maintain a “Customer Value Hierarchy” for each partner.
  • Create business cases for potential projects or initiatives in partnership with and on behalf of partners.
  • Coordinate or support inter-organizational negotiations for contracts.
  • Route professional requests for new or changed services to the appropriate functional group.
  • Lead, develop and support future Service Level Objectives for selected services.
  • Support IT Governance on campus through interaction with various committees.
  • Develop and support the Service Portfolio process
