Classroom Performance System Software Updated
The updated Classroom Performance System (CPS) and CPS for PowerPoint v6.71 was installed on Open Access Lab computers and classroom computers supported by Instructional Media Services (IMS). The new CPS ("clicker") software supports Office 2010 integration.
The older CPS version and Office 2007 will remain on the workstations for the remainder of this semester. IMS classroom computer will have two sets of CPS icons on the desktop ("CPS" and "CPS New!").
Some issues with the older CPS software can prevent it from functioning properly. Please start using the new CPS version as soon as possible. In some cases, files created for the older CPS version can cause the CPS to crash. If you observe this problem, create a new PowerPoint/CPS file with the latest version of the software to eliminate any backwards compatibility issues, or simply use the older CPS software with your old CPS/PowerPoint files.
