Earth Day Campaign Recycles 950 pounds of e-waste

Over 950 pounds of e-waste was collected by Texas A&M Information Technology and the Environmental Issues Committee (EIC) during its annual Earth Day campaign. Aggies recycled old batteries, ink cartridges, CDs/DVDs and more in locations around campus.

“We are so excited that the campus got involved and prevented toxic e-waste from ending up in our landfills,” said EIC Co-Chair Amanda Cernovich. “Last year we only collected 80 pounds, so we were amazed when we saw this year’s results.”
