About the Assistant Chief Information Officer of Operations

Chrissie Cordray is the Assistant Chief Information Officer at Texas A&M University, where she oversees the IT Transformation team. In this role, she led the unification of technology groups and processes to enhance operational efficiency and strategic alignment. She plays a pivotal role in developing technology roadmaps that support the university’s IT strategic plan, oversees organizational change management, and ensures scalable, innovative solutions that drive institutional success.

Chrissie holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from California State University, Sacramento, and MS in Management Information Systems at Texas A&M University. She also earned certifications in Technical Development Management, Data Management, ProSci Change Management practitioner, and ITIL 3 & 4. Chrissie also teaches Organizational Change Management in Mays Business School as an adjunct professor.

With over 20 years of experience, Chrissie has spent the last thirteen years working in various higher education leadership roles. With a diverse background in IT, Chrissie has held roles spanning Application Developer, Network Engineer II, Operating System/Security Analyst, Project Manager, Senior IT Manager in Student Affairs (overseeing the PMO, BRM’s, IT Governance, and DBA’s), IT Director (College of Architecture), and now Assistant Chief Information Officer. Her extensive experience in both technical and leadership positions enables her to drive digital transformation, foster collaboration, and implement forward-thinking technology strategies that support the university’s mission.
