Overview

A Texas A&M Health HSCID is a unique identifier, or username, for logging in and accessing many computing resources specific to the Health Science Center. A HSCID account allows a specific user to authenticate on many computing systems that use password services based on either Texas A&M Health Shibboleth or Active Directory Services.

All HSCID accounts require two-factor authentication (powered by Duo) for logging in to computing systems and devices.

Note: A HSCID account is different from a NetID account, which is the university's centralized username for access to most Texas A&M University information systems.

Obtaining an Account

Student Accounts

HSCID student accounts are created automatically by a nightly data feed received from the university's student information system. If students do not have their accounts created, they should first check with the Registrar to ensure that all their required information has been received for enrollment. If all the information has been received, contact the Health Technology Care Team for further assistance.

Employee Accounts

HSCID employee accounts for faculty and staff are automatically created as hiring processes are completed in Workday. If a pre-hire account is needed before this process is completed, please contact your Human Resources Customer Support Hub (formerly the HR Liaison Network). All HSCID accounts are required to have a Texas A&M University Universal Identification Number (UIN) to gain access to Texas A&M Health systems. Health IT can also create accounts for non-employees who are working with, or are affiliated with, Texas A&M University.
