Code Maroon

Code Maroon is Texas A&M University's emergency notification system. Students and their families should enroll in Code Maroon to make sure they receive health and safety warnings during campus emergencies.

Any iOS or Android device with a data connection can receive Code Maroon emergency alerts through the app, and the Code Maroon App is free to download by anyone and can be used anywhere nationwide!

The Code Maroon App also comes with a number of safety tools, including:

  • Friend Walk - Send your location to a friend or family member so they can follow your progress until you reach your destination. Works anywhere!
  • Mobile Blue Light - Works anywhere and contacts the nearest 911 dispatch in your area.
  • Emergency Procedures - Not sure what to do in an emergency? Quickly access information on how to respond to threats from active shooters, bomb threats, suspicious packages and more.
  • Safety Toolbox - Let friends and family know you are safe during an emergency, share your location via email, or use your phone as a flashlight.
  • Map Library - Always have campus, transit and parking maps at your fingertips.
