1. Greeting: The IRS, banks and other financial agencies typically address you by name. If a message is addressed generically, it’s probably a scam. 
2. Errors in Grammar: Scammers often use money as a lure to snag you. The IRS wouldn’t capitalize Tax Refund, no matter how important we think it is. 
3. Extremely sketchy links: Always hover over a link to see where it leads. This URL doesn’t look legit. 
4. Errors: The signature’s a dead giveaway. IRRS Team? Scam messages often have typos.
5. Suspicious Reasoning: Scammers love to “explain” why their messages may have been marked as junk or spam. Don’t fall for it.
