Cell phones are available for university business through various vendors. Contracts with Verizon, AT&T and Sprint provide discounted rates for phones used by the university. National and international plans are available.

Bills are provided directly to Texas A&M Division of Information Technology through vendor agreements. Calls are then itemized and added to a departmental Centrex bill. Under this service, each department is responsible for purchasing their own cell phones. Phones can be ordered through the Division of IT.

To avoid high roaming charges when using mobile devices when traveling in another country, add international plans for calling or data to existing departmental cellular devices or rent an international phone for the duration of an employee's trip.
