Overview
Technology Services provides campus phone service through Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP). Customers must use a supported Cisco VoIP phone to receive phone service.

Getting Started
A list of supported Cisco phone models and potential vendors is available.
Once you have a compatible Cisco VoIP phone, complete the Campus Phone Support form or email tcom-request@tamu.edu to add or disconnect a phone line.
Special Requests
For complex or bulk service requests, email tcom-request@tamu.edu to set up a meeting, ask questions or talk through the details of your needs.

Service Details
VoIP phones plug into the campus wired network just like a computer, receive power from the network port, and also accommodate an extra network jack on the back of the phone if you need to also plug in your computer/docking station. Both your phone and your computer both share the same network port!
Features
Cisco VoIp phones can be managed remotely.
- Call Forwarding: Forward calls from your office phone to your cell phone.
- Voicemail: Check your office voicemail from off campus or in email format.

Guidelines
- Disconnect a phone line: Submit a Phone Support Request to disconnect a phone line.
- Surplus a phone: Work directly with your unit or department's Property Manager or Accountable Property Officer to surplus unwanted phones.
