Overview

The virtual environment pool is specifically created for a subset of students who use SPSS and additional software during remote class sessions. This pool is not for general use, and it does not contain other clinical software typically used on virtual machines (i.e., axiUm, MiPacs, etc.).

If you are a faculty member or a clinician who has a special use case for VDI, contact tamu-it-health@tamu.edu for more information.

Connecting through the VMware Horizon Virtual Environment

  1. Download and install the Horizon Client for Windows or macOS
  2. Once installed, open the client and add the following server address: cod-horizon.tamhsc.edu
  3. Log in with your HSCID and password (this is different from your NetID)
  4. Select the option for "TAMUH-COD-VDI," which will log you into the virtual environment

Note: Other pools may be viewable, such as "COD-****-Clinic," which you will not be able to access.
