netflix search screen with "tech" typed into the search bar and tv shows on the side

Now that school is out for the summer, there's plenty of time to stress about something that really matters: finding a new television series. Whether you're into TV dramas, comedy, reality television, or action-packed crime series, there's a show out there for everyone. Here's a list of five awesome series you can stream that fall into all of your favorite categories but still incorporate-- you guessed it--TECH.

1. The Joy of Techs

Marcus Brigstocke is a writer, comedian and self-described technophobe. Marcus and his pal Alex Conran, who loves tech, travel and try out the world's latest gadgets. The show follows these two around as they debate the good and bad of our tech-fueled lives.

2. Mr. Robot

Elliot Alderson is a cybersecurity engineer who takes on a major conspiracy to eliminate all consumer debt and financial records from a tech-powered monopoly. To do so, Alderson becomes a white-hat hacker by night, joining a group of hacktivists led by Mr. Robot himself. This show explores many different subjects including mental illness, the implications of technology and cryptocurrencies on world economies.

3. Arrow

Young billionaire Oliver Queen becomes shipwrecked on a mysterious island. After being gone for five years and presumed dead, Oliver returns to his family in Star City with a deadly set of fighting skills and a plan to hunt down the corrupt individuals who have failed his city.

Where's the tech?
At first, Oliver is a vigilante armed only with arrows to fight Star City criminals. But when he meets Felicity Smoak who works in the IT department of his father's company, his crime-fighting tech gets a major upgrade. Expect to see some pretty cool, futuristic gadgets.

4. Twitter Tech Support

Have you ever asked a question on Twitter? Twitter Tech Support on Hulu can give you a pretty cool idea of what it would be like if your Twitter queries were answered by your favorite celebrities. Topics range from woodworking and K-POP to actual medical advice, and the celebrities with the answers are anyone from Bill Nye and Neil DeGrasse Tyson to Liza Koshy, John Cena and Jackie Chan.

5. Travelers

In the future, humans are living a torturous existence because of a series of events that take place during the 21st century. The surviving humans discover how to send the consciousness of special agents called "travelers" back in time to change the course of history and fix the future.

Where's the tech?
The people of the future are able to send their consciousness back because of a combination of smartphone and GPS technology, social media and public records. Once the travelers make it back to the 21st century, their lives are run by a computer program called the Director. If you enjoy shows that leave you confused and coming back for more, check out Travelers on Netflix.
