What is E-Discovery
Electronic Discovery, or E-Discovery, refers to the process of identifying, preserving, collecting processing, reviewing and producing electronically stored information (ESI) as part of the larger civil procedure known as discovery.

- Public Information Request extractions from Technology Services services
- Law enforcement investigations
- Division of Human Resources and Organizational Effectiveness and Aggie Honor System Office investigations requiring extractions from Technology Services services
E-Discovery and the CISO
The CISO coordinates IT preservation holds and other legal processes as the ESI Preservation Coordinator of Texas A&M University and facilitates the extraction of ESI from Technology Services services. The ESI Preservation Coordinator and designees perform E-Discovery operations in accordance with applicable rules, SAPs, standards, laws, and information security controls.
