Andrew Marcontell recently joined Texas A&M's Division of Information Technology as Director of Enterprise Platforms & Cloud.

Marcontell brings 25 years of diverse IT experience from higher education, corporate consulting and the military. He served in various roles including director of enterprise programming, director of data centers and network services, and director of academic support services. A graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, Marcontell received a master's degree in Computer Engineering from the University of South Carolina and holds several IT certifications, including the certified information system security professional (CISSP) designation.

William Deigaard, Associate Vice President of Enterprise Platforms for the Division of IT, said Marcontell will play a key role and help in recruiting efforts.

"We are fortunate to add Andrew to our team," he said. "He will contribute to Office 365 development and migration on campus, work on development of the Aggie Innovation Platform and create development and operations capabilities in some strategic areas."
