Dee Childs, Vice President of Information Technology and Texas A&M Chief Information Officer, will be a panelist in a virtual forum hosted by The Chronicle of Higher Education November 5.
Titled "Bringing Together the Remote University," the forum will focus on how Texas A&M and other universities have adapted to the remote enterprise forced by the pandemic by discussing:
• How does remote learning affect operations, facilities and IT infrastructure?
• What efficiencies and problems have the remote enterprise created?
• What have university leaders learned about managing their institution during the difficult time?
The panel will also include Elizabeth Bejar, Senior Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs for Florida International U, and Jean Morrison, Provost of Boston University.
The discussion will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. Central via Zoom. Registration is free and a recording of the session will be available to registrants.
