Texas A&M students and employees receive many email announcements from the TAMU-OPT list each day, contributing to cluttered inboxes. The amount of messages received can make it difficult for individuals to identify email that is most relevant to them. In response, the Division of Information Technology has launched a new service to solve this issue, Daily Digest.
The Daily Digest collects all TAMU-OPT messages into a single list sent out once a day, ensuring campus members receive information they need without being overwhelmed by messages. Readers can click on the email subject that interests them and they will be taken to the complete message.
“We want to be sure that campus members receive the important information they want from the TAMU-OPT list, but in a clean, consolidated format. With Daily Digest, they get the best of both worlds,” says Director of Product Strategy & Communication, Lacey Baze.
Readers can switch to Daily Digest by following these steps:
- Go to gateway.tamu.edu/settings/email/subscriptions/.
- If prompted, log in with your NetID and password.
- Select the button next to "Receive ONE email with the messages collected daily."
- Click Save.
- Goodbye cluttered inbox!
The Division of IT hopes the new service allows campus members to stay up-to-date with campus announcements without extra messages filling their inbox.
