IT-Did-That-trophy

We are starting the new year with some big wins! Texas A&M’s Division of Information Technology recently received multiple awards in the 2021-2022 Special Interest Group on University and College Computing Services (SIGUCCS) competition. Put simply, SIGUCCS awards are the Olympics of university IT communication!

SIGUCCS gives universities a chance to compete for communication accolades in various categories, including websites, social media and other digital publications. With a slate of tough competitors from around the country, we’re proud to announce that Texas A&M’s Division of IT received awards in three categories!

The Division of IT was awarded “Best of Social Media'' by developing captivating Instagram content for Texas A&M students. Incorporating pop-culture references, alongside valuable information about campus tech services, helped the Division of IT grow its online following.

An “Award of Excellence” was received in the Public/Mobile Website category for the division's cybersecurity mystery game, “The Missing Link”. The game served as the centerpiece for the division's 2020 annual campaign for National Cybersecurity Awareness Month.

The Division of IT was also awarded “Best Short Promotional Video” for “Prepared. Focused. Resilient”. The video highlights how essential technology services and the division’s efforts helped Texas A&M successfully respond to the COVID-19 pandemic – ensuring that students and employees could continue to teach, learn and work effectively.

Join us as we celebrate these achievements and the Division of IT’s commitment to the success of the Aggie community.
