A new TrainTraq course will introduce the concept of Electronic and Information Resources (EIR) accessibility and ensure inclusivity across Texas A&M University.

Cynthia Kauder, EIR Accessibility Coordinator and Senior Lead IT Policy Analyst, said the course was developed through a collaboration of accessibility professionals across The Texas A&M University System.

“Trainees will learn about the different types of EIR, common disabilities and assistive technologies, resources for making digital resources accessible, and ways we procure accessible EIR,” she said. “We can all benefit from this course because we all use EIR. From emails and documents to presentations and multimedia, accessibility and universal design principles help ensure everyone has access to our digital resources.”

Beginning fall 2022, all Texas A&M employees will be required to take the course.
