It may not be the Oscars, but the Special Interest Group on University and College Computing Services (SIGUCCS) awards are the next best thing for university IT communications. Texas A&M Technology Services received multiple accolades in the 2022 SIGUCCS competition recognizing communications efforts to elevate projects supporting faculty, staff, students and campus visitors.

SIGUCCS encourages universities across the country to compete for communication awards in various categories, including websites, social media and other digital publications. 

Technology Services won “Best of Category” for the Next Generation Aggie Network website, a three-year project bringing 6E WiFi. This website displays Texas A&M’s clean and concise plan to improve technology on campus in the coming years. Providing a glance at what goes on behind the scenes at Technology Services, Aggies are able to see the progress underway for the campus community and visitors. 

Additionally, another “Best of Category” accolade was received for “New Student Conferences - Technology Services Video Presentation.” The video highlights various technology services available to students at Texas A&M. With the incorporation of clips from popular media, Technology Services was able to provide valuable information with a fresh, entertaining perspective.
