ESPN-SEC-Nation

The ESPN SEC Nation team selected Texas A&M University’s Aggie Park as the host site for their show on Sept. 23. With its recent renovations, the team had questions related to streaming services, access points and more at the 20-acre site developed as a premiere green space on the flagship campus.

The SEC Nation team needed direct connectivity to 12th Man Productions and the TV compound at Kyle Field for their transmission. In addition, they needed to air the last 30 minutes of their show live from the stadium. The crew at Texas A&M ensured the necessary equipment was made readily accessible. When it was realized SEC Nation needed to expand its capacity for the livestream, the expanded resources and equipment were made available.

Texas A&M’s resources and knowledgeable personnel helped alleviate their concerns and supported a successful livestream of the first-ever ESPN show at Aggie Park. The team was impressed by the crew’s helpfulness and professionalism and expressed their gratitude to the staff at Texas A&M and Aggie Park for their assistance during the visit. The SEC Nation team was helped by the optical fiber team under the Technology Services’ networking unit.

From these efforts, the SEC Nation team is looking forward to returning for more shows and shared their confidence in Texas A&M’s ability to handle the needs of College Game Day when it comes to town.
