Training for Tomorrow’s Cyber Threats Starts Today

The Cybersecurity Apprenticeship Program is an experienced-based training opportunity for students that spans all aspects of the cybersecurity field. Companies face cyber threats every day and hiring the right talent to combat those threats is hard. CAP bridges the gap by putting talented Texas A&M University students in positions to work on cybersecurity teams in industry-leading companies.

Preparing Students for a Career in Cybersecurity

Students benefit from hands-on cybersecurity experience in real-time. CAP was created by the Texas A&M cybersecurity team in partnership with global organizations. Students have the opportunity to earn industry-recognized certifications (such as Network+, Security+ and ITIL) and learn relevant skills necessary for success in the cybersecurity industry.

CAP is designed to be a 3-year program. In the first year, students will focus on basic cybersecurity and networking skills. In years two and three, students will select areas of focus to deepen their knowledge in particular fields such as identity security, risk and compliance, pen testing, security operations, and others.

Eleven students are part of the inaugural class of the Cybersecurity Apprenticeship Program.
