Gigabite Phising Image

Just as students mistook a fake electrical outlet for a real one, it can be easy to fall for a fake when you’re not looking closely. Phishing emails, more often than not, can appear just as legitimate as an email coming from Texas A&M.

Identifying a phishing email isn’t enough — if you see it, report it! Aggies do look out for each other after all. If you receive an email you think is suspicious, forward it to Help Desk Central at helpdesk@tamu.edu as soon as possible.

When Aggies forward emails to HDC, these emails are used to improve security filters, making them smarter and more efficient at blocking sophisticated phishing scams. Your reporting could also help put the campus on alert for this attack and keep fellow Ags safe.

If you see a fake, report it to help keep Aggieland safe! For more information about phishing, visit Phishing (& Internet Scams).
