Overview

Respondus enables the creation and management of printed and online exams. You can create exams directly within Respondus, import existing exams from word processor files, or pull content from publisher test banks.

We provide a university-wide site license for Respondus, which is available at no cost for instructors.

Visit the Texas A&M Software Store to download Respondus at no cost. Note: The software licensing expires annually and must be updated.

Texas A&M has enabled Respondus Lockdown Browser and Respondus Monitor in Canvas. Respondus is used for proctoring online exams.

Respondus LockDown Browser is a custom browser that locks down the testing environment within Canvas.

Respondus Monitor builds upon Respondus LockDown Browser, using a student’s webcam and video analytics to prevent cheating during exams.

Respondus 4.0 is a tool for creating and managing exams that can be printed to paper or published directly to Canvas, Blackboard, Brightspace, Moodle, and other learning systems. Exams can be created offline using a familiar Windows environment, or moved between different learning systems.
