Overview

Texas A&M University is subject to both internal and external regulation relating to the use of information technology resources—computers, applications, and data. Security controls, rules and Standard Administrative Procedures (SAPs) provide processes for implementing Texas A&M Policies and Regulations.

Texas A&M Technology Services initiates and coordinates IT Policy for Texas A&M by preparing information technology Rules and SAPs, and managing the university security controls catalog. We work closely with IT Governance and other campus stakeholders to review and develop new IT policy, and communicate to IT professionals about policy changes through various channels, such as the IT Policy Announce mailing list and the #it-policy Slack channel.
